History

On March 1, 1993 Reiner Glaeser, an experienced mechanical engineer, established the Automatendreherei Reiner Glaeser (Precision Turning Shop Reiner Glaeser) on the premises of a former wood-working firm and started the production of turned parts on an automatic TRAUB A 25 lathe.

Already after a short period of time, an assembly workplace was installed and the first employee was recruited.

A little later the firm acquired two used automatic SKODA A20A lathes.

An increasing demand for turned parts with milling as well as rear and transverse machining required drilling and boring machines, finishing lathes, milling machines and - the employment of additional staff.

Due to continued economic growth and spatial limitations at the old location, the Precision Turning Shop Glaeser & Glaeser GbR was set up on June 20, 2000 together with the firm owners son Ingo Glaeser, who has been with the company since 1996. At the same time, preparatory work for the construction of a new production hall in the Olbernhau industrial park began. In November 2001, after a construction period of only four months, the company moved to the new premises.

Today, the firm employs 22 staff members (as per January 2005) and has evolved into an important and reliable supplier for both the regional and national market.

Our name has been synonymous with superior quality and reliability from the beginning.
